Privacy Policy

Introduction

Data Media Information Databases and Direct Marketing Ltd. (in this policy: the “Site Operator”) respects the privacy of users of the “MyEmailCommunity” website, available at https://myemailcommunity.com or at any other address or online access method determined by the Site Operator (the “Website”).

These terms explain the Website’s privacy practices. They describe, among other things, how the Site Operator uses information provided by users or collected while you use the Website, including its online community. In this policy, “personal information” means any information that can reasonably be used to identify you, including your first and last name, email address, phone number, and more.

This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the Website’s Terms of Use. The policy uses masculine grammatical form for convenience only and refers to all genders.

Providing Personal Information

Using most features of the Website, including viewing its content, does not require registration or the submission of personal information. However, certain areas or sections of the Website, such as the online community, may require registration and the provision of identifiable personal details such as full name, phone number, active email address, and additional information as relevant.

The Site Operator invites users to contact it on any matter. For this purpose, an online contact form is provided.

In addition, the company offers a registration form through which you can provide your contact details for receiving marketing information from the company, including via electronic means.

When completing the forms, you will be asked to provide personal details such as: first name, last name, active email address, phone number, and additional information such as the nature of your inquiry. You must provide correct, accurate, and complete information, and you hereby confirm the correctness of the details you provide. Incorrect details may prevent us from contacting you if needed.

When you provide personal information about a third party, you declare that you have obtained their explicit and informed consent to disclose their details to the Site Operator for the purposes described in this policy.

You are not legally required to provide personal information. Providing such information depends on your consent and free will. However, providing incorrect details—or failing to provide required details—may prevent you from completing registration, using certain Website services, receiving optimal service, or being contacted if necessary.

Submitting your details, including registering for the online community, constitutes your explicit consent to receive marketing communications from the Site Operator, as defined in Section 30A of the Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law, 1982. Marketing messages will be sent to you using the information you provided in the online form (typically by email or SMS). You may revoke your consent at any time by sending a refusal notice. Instructions for sending such a notice will appear in the marketing messages you receive.

Information Collected During Use of the Website

While you use the Website, the Site Operator may collect information about your usage patterns, including content you viewed, pages visited, services of interest, your computer’s location, IP address, operating system, device type, and more. The Site Operator may also use third-party services to collect and analyze anonymous, statistical, or aggregated information related to your use of the Website, including your activity data.

Sharing Information and Content on Social Networks

The service provides tools allowing you to share and link Website content through social networks and third-party online services. Use of such social networks is external to and separate from the Website and is subject to the privacy practices of those networks. This policy does not apply to their activities.

Use of Information

Personal information collected during your use of the Website, as well as personal information you provide directly, will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as permitted by law, for the following purposes:

  • To allow you to use the Website and its services, including the online community.
  • To identify you during repeated visits to areas requiring registration, and to avoid the need to re-enter your details.
  • To improve and enhance the Website’s services and content, including developing new features and content tailored to users’ needs and expectations, or modifying or discontinuing existing services. The information used for this purpose will primarily be statistical and will not personally identify you.
  • To contact you if necessary, or for analyzing and providing statistical information to third parties. This information will not personally identify you.
  • For proper operation and development of the Website. Information used for this purpose will not be transferred to third parties unless permitted under this Privacy Policy.
  • To send you, from time to time, information regarding services of the Site Operator or its representatives, as well as surveys, newsletters, and similar communications.
  • To send marketing communications, as defined in Section 30A of the Communications Law.
  • To contact you when the Site Operator believes it is necessary.
  • For any other purpose specified in this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use.

We recommend reviewing this policy periodically, as it may change from time to time.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

The Site Operator will not transfer your personal information or information collected about your activity (to the extent such information personally identifies you) to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • When necessary for the proper provision of Website services.
  • If you violate the Website’s Terms of Use, or if you perform—through or in connection with the Website—actions contrary to law or attempts to do so.
  • Upon receipt of a judicial order requiring disclosure of your information to a third party.
  • In any dispute, claim, demand, or legal proceedings between you and the Site Operator.
  • If the Site Operator believes that disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm to your body or property, or that of a third party.
  • The Site Operator may transfer your details to its affiliated companies or organizations, provided such entities use the information solely in accordance with this policy.
  • If the Site Operator reorganizes its operations or the Website’s operations under a different structure, changes its legal form, merges with another entity, or merges Website operations with those of a third party—then it may transfer to the new entity a copy of the information collected, provided that the entity assumes this policy’s obligations.

Where Is the Information Stored?

Information collected is stored in our database, hosted by external server hosting and data-backup providers, which may be located outside Israel. Additional information, as described in this policy, is collected and stored by other companies (e.g., analytics companies), which may also store data outside Israel. Your consent to this policy constitutes consent to storing and transferring information abroad.

Cookies

The Website may use cookies for its regular operation, collection of statistical usage data, authentication, personalization, and security purposes. Cookies are text files created by your browser at the Website’s command. Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others persist on your hard drive.

Cookies may contain information such as pages visited, time spent on the Website, referral source, sections you prefer to view, and more.

If you do not want to receive cookies, you can disable them by changing your browser settings. Consult your browser’s help file. Note that disabling cookies may prevent use of some Website features or services. You may also delete stored cookies at any time, but only if you are certain you do not want the Website customized to your preferences.

Information Security

The Site Operator employs systems and procedures designed to protect the Website’s information security and operates in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law and its regulations. While such systems reduce the risk of unauthorized access, they cannot provide absolute security. Therefore, the Site Operator does not guarantee that the Website’s services will be completely immune from unauthorized access to stored information, including information submitted by users.

Right to Review Information

Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, any person is entitled to review information about them held in a database, either personally, through an authorized representative, or through a legal guardian. A person who has reviewed their information and finds it incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated may request correction or deletion. If the database owner refuses, they must notify the requester as required by the regulations. You may appeal such refusal to the Magistrates Court.

In addition, if information held about you is used for contacting you personally based on your classification within a population group defined by one or more characteristics (“direct marketing”), then you may demand in writing that such information be deleted. The Site Operator will delete only the information required for direct marketing. Note that deletion may prevent continuation of Website services. Information necessary for the Site Operator’s business operations—including records of commercial or other actions you performed—will continue to be retained under law but will no longer be used for contacting you.

If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days that the requested deletion has been carried out, you may apply to the Magistrates Court to order the Site Operator to act accordingly.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Site Operator may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made regarding the use of personal information you have provided, a notice will be posted on the Website. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
